Following the successful conclusion of a collaborative tendering exercise, the Catering and Associated Services Framework Agreement commenced on the 31 August 2009 for a period of 4 years. The Framework Agreement has been developed in collaboration with key stakeholders, including food policy groups, to ensure that it supports ministerial objectives relating to healthy eating, sustainability and environmental issues.
The Framework Agreement is multi supplier covering three separate Lots as follows:
Lot 1 - Fully Managed Catering Services
Provision of a fully comprehensive catering service which includes the provision of in-house restaurants, high street branded coffee shops, food and drink vending, events, hospitality and other associated services.
Lot 2 - Hospitality
Provision of light refreshments and hot and cold buffet style catering.
Lot 3 - Events
Provision of a wide range of events including traditional formal dinners, high profile public events through to contemporary style events.

The framework is available to the Scottish Government, its Agencies, Associated Departments and Non-Departmental Public Body, the Forestry Commission, the Student Loans and the Scotland Office.
Further detail on framework specification, terms and conditions and a guidance document on how to access and use the Framework Agreement will be available soon in our members area.
You may wish to note that stand alone vending services are not included in this Framework Agreement. Collaborative Partners requiring stand alone vending services will be able to access the new Buying Solutions Vending Framework from November 2009.
