Building on the success earlier this year of its collaborative approach to business planning, CGCoPE will be asking members to help identify and prioritise contracting opportunities for the next 'wave' of CGCoPE collaborative procurement.
A CGCoPE workshop will take place on Monday 2 November 2009 at the CoSLA Conference Centre in Haymarket, Edinburgh, so that participants can compare forward plans, consider a range of potential contracting projects and help decide how procurement resources should be allocated in order to maximise impact and deliver benefits.
Angela McKay, CGCoPE's Head of Collaborative Procurement, said: "We want everyone to help us get our ducks in a row. There is no point in using scarce resources on contracting actions that will have limited impact for the sector. We need consensus and commitment in order to reduce risks and maximise gains".
The format of the seminar will be similar to previous Business Planning seminars, with a combination of plenary and work group sessions.
