GO Award nomination success

CGCoPE has been shortlisted for a GO Award for Collaborative Procurement. The Award, endorsed by John McClelland, recognises the power of collaboration, and its ability to deliver more than could be achieved by organisations working on their own.
The nomination is for a Recruitment Advertising and Public Information Notice contract. CGCoPE worked collaboratively by establishing a User Intelligence Group (UIG) which included both procurement and HR professionals. Focus groups were also held and consultation took place with suppliers, public and private sector organisations and trade bodies.
The contract is currently used by 52 partner organisations and benefits have included:

- A collective approach to continuous improvement
- Consistent contractual terms
- Sharing best practice
The nomination highlights the continued efforts of CGCoPE to foster collaboration in the central government sector.
